Marge Veelmaa, the creator of the brand Tuulesttekstiil, is a textile designer, handweaver, and researcher of weaving history. She is fascinated by the dialogue between heritage and contemporary design – by how traditional weaving patterns can be brought into a modern context.

Marge’s work is grounded in respect for slow design, craftsmanship, and the natural rhythm that emerges when something is created by hand.

Each piece is handwoven on traditional looms using carefully selected Irish tweed yarns, rich in texture, colour, and story.

For Marge, weaving is not merely a technique but a way of thinking – a means of connecting history, material, and emotion into a coherent whole.

The collection Connemara – Land by the Sea is inspired by the light, wind, and stillness of northern nature.

These textiles reflect the balance and colours of the natural landscape, turning them into something tangible and enduring.

In addition to scarves, her work includes interior textiles and LED-illuminated wall panels, where traditional craftsmanship meets modern technology and spatial design.

Every piece by Tuulesttekstiil carries a trace of time and care – each one unique and unrepeatable.
