Maari Soekov (1991) is a freelancing illustrator, painter and graphic designer.
Maari’s art speaks of magic and mystery, connecting with the primordial spirit of nature, the ethereal layers of being human. With its roots in the poetry of reality, her paintings reflect tender and fleeting moments of the everyday.
Most of her creation impulse is rooted in an undying interest in the natural world – interesting recurring patterns and personal animistic world view.
The sources of inspiration are multiple, ranging from natural sciences to shamanism, interest in history, ancient cultures and folklore, poetry, techniques of extasy.
