The Rotten Beauty collection by Karm en Saat is inspired by decay and its beauty. The idea was to capture the most beautiful side of organic decay, which mostly goes unnoticed by many. In order to achieve a perfect and visually beautiful result, the artist took forms from rotting fruits and vegetables and presented them in a clean and delicate way as ceramic vessels. The exceptionally beautiful textures captured, brings out the beauty of the life cycle and gives new meaning to organic decay. The strong shape of the pumpkin shows off the textures of decay off especially well. The very visual and detailed rotten circles make it a great sculpture and a subject piece for any interior.
