Tallinn Design House presents photo exhibition ARTIST SERIES on September 19th at 18:00 as part of the Tallinn Design Festival 2024.
At the exhibition opening, Kristi Pärn, the founder and designer of the local clothing brand ELLEN RICHARD, will share the story of her brand.
ELLEN RICHARD’s goal is to encourage people to consume more consciously by creating unique items that can remain in one’s wardrobe for years. The collections are easy to combine, minimalist in style, practical, and are handcrafted in Estonia.
The ARTIST SERIES project by Tallinn Design House showcases Estonian designers through their creative environments. We open the door to a secret world where ideas come to life. Over the course of three years, we have captured 20 local brands: Agnes Veski Jewelry, Anu Rieberg, Arro Porcelain, Ellen Richard, Eve Hanson, Front, Kaia Saarna Jewelry, Kelpman Textile, Kriss Soonik, Kristiina Ploom Jewellery, Lavendlitalu, Lentsius, Lisa Kroeber Jewellery, Mithio, Miurio, Samelin, Seasoned Traveler Parka, Studio August, The Korsars and Triinu Pungits. The photographers of the project are Silver Mikiver, Iris Kivisalu and Sirje Sinisoo.
The workspaces of these designers are as diverse as their creations – some operate in spacious studios, others share collaborative environments, and some work from home studios. Regardless of the location, designers are resourceful and adaptable – thanks to their dedication and skills, Estonian design endures!
The photo exhibition at Tallinn Design House’s showroom will remain open until November 30, 2024
