The exhibition focuses on the people behind the design and their stories. Often, the product or brand is well known, while the creator remains in the background. This time, six artisans and designers take the spotlight, united by a shared belief: beauty is not a luxury, but a conscious choice.
Ülle Tammik (Korralooja) is a professional organiser, trainer, and consultant who helps people create functional systems at home and in everyday life. Her personal experience with ADHD has shown her that a well-functioning environment is not an aesthetic ideal, but the foundation of clarity and peace. “Order is not a luxury. It is freedom.”
Kadri Veisner is a fashion stylist, fashion illustrator, educator, and watercolor artist whose work spans from fashion shows to award-winning costume design. Her illustrations and paintings have been featured in products and collaborations, including Mammu Couture’s apple blossom designs and Smarttan’s tanning-through clothing. “We all deserve beauty, but dress consciously.”
Katarina Sarap is an illustrator whose vibrant characters and joyful narratives come to life through her ABC: Atypical, Bold, Colourful. Her creative journey, which began in high school, has led to collaborations with international brands such as Zalando, Škoda, and L’Occitane. “Life doesn’t always have to be taken seriously – a little fun and colour can do wonders.”
Kristen Terasmaa (Ruth Terras) is a scent designer who has been connected to the world of aromatics since 2010. Her brand is created for those who value clean ingredients and conscious choices, emphasizing that scents have a deeper impact than they may seem. “Not everything that smells good is good for you. Do you know what you’re breathing in?”
Kärt Suursaar (Rada Keraamika) creates wheel-thrown functional ceramics that combine traditional craftsmanship with modern simplicity, each piece carrying a personal touch. “The hand guides, the material responds, the person rejoices.”
Liisa Kanemägi is a knitwear artist who began by knitting sweaters for Barbie dolls as a child and now creates limited-edition pieces that blur the line between design and art. Wool, silk, and linen—materials with character—are shaped through zero-waste techniques into forms that are both beautiful and environmentally conscious. “Your inner rebel is actually quite cute.”
