Estonian design at Riga Fashion Week

Last week, from October 28th to 31st, the 39th edition of Riga Fashion Week took place, where Estonian designers Pohjanheimo and CarolxOtt, along with the Latvian brand Verens, showcased their latest creations.

The collection by Pohjanheimo features fabrics from Italy and Japan sourced from suppliers who have been working with cashmere, silk, and cotton for generations, paying special attention to quality.

“In our Tallinn atelier, we have an archive that preserves the designs of products from the 1970s. Every sleeve, leg, trim, or collar ever created is drawn on pattern paper and securely stored, serving as inspiration for new ideas,” shares the brand’s designer. The “Pohjanheimo” team emphasizes that they adhere to a completely waste-free production process.

CarolxOtt is a clothing brand for the bold and adventurous, offering colorful, one-of-a-kind wardrobe solutions. “I participated with my brand at Riga Fashion Week for the first time, where I showcased my latest collection to an international audience. I’m extremely positive about the experience—not only was the venue inspiring, but local influencers warmly embraced my creations and praised them highly. I am deeply grateful,” shares the brand’s creator, Cärol Ott.

The collection “Surprise” by Verens is colorful and multifaceted, young and energetic, attentive to details, decisive and daring. Verens creates clothes for all moments of your busy life, combining cotton suits with original waistcoats, linen dresses with airy voluminous coats and jackets. Knitted dresses with shine and drapery add originality and brightness.

You can explore the creations of all three brands in more detail at the Tallinn Design House showroom and online store.
