Cornflower

More or less the Lord of the Rings of the plant world, cornflower boasts a rich and interesting history. A national and political symbol in Estonia, Finland, Germany, and beyond, cornflower has pretty, shockingly blue flowers. The cornflower´s flower is edible and can be used for culinary decoration, for example to add colour to salads. The flower is also effective as a wash for tired eyes.
